Team Tuesday: Meet Cindy Dee, Contract Administrator

Welcome back to #TeamTuesday, where each week we introduce you to the awesome people who make #BuildBetter possible.

Today, we want you to meet Cindy Dee, our Contract Administrator. Cindy joined our team in 2001 as Property Manager. She stayed in that role until 2013, when she was named Contract Administrator and her role expanded. If you’ve done business with Roebuck Buildings, you’ve worked with Cindy.

As Contract Administrator, Cindy is responsible for issuing subcontracts, POs and change orders, verifying subcontractor insurance, new vendor requests, miscellaneous job billing, insurance claims, DOT driver certifications, and well, the list goes on. Cindy’s attention to detail and ability to manage all these moving parts seamlessly and graciously make her a crucial part of our team.

When Cindy isn’t actively wearing the title of Contract Queen, she’s busy with her family and being active. Cindy and her husband, Rob, have two sons. Collin is a senior and is an ROTC and cybersecurity enthusiast. Jason is a sophomore and plays soccer. The Dee Family also includes three fur-babies – all rescues. Their dog Belle has been with them for 16 years, and Tucker (a dog) Holly (a cat) have been with them for about a year. Cindy is actively involved in a local animal rescue organization, Stone Soup Animal Rescue.

Cindy answered a few fun questions for us about her favorite local spot to eat, her favorite podcast, and a goal she recently crushed.

What are you currently binge-watching? “The Blacklist”

What is your favorite local spot to eat? La Taverna – A little-known restaurant on the west side of town that serves amazingly authentic Italian food!

What is your favorite podcast? The Bob & Sheri Oddcast

What is one goal you’re currently working on?  My main goal was to get a decent time on the half marathon (Mountains to Main) but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. Editor’s note: Cindy ran with the editor of this article at that half marathon, which very much so slowed Cindy’s pace. Earlier this month, Cindy completed the Hilton Head Half Marathon in under two hours. Her official time, in fact, was 1:52:37.

We hope you enjoyed getting to know a little more about Cindy. We’re glad to have her on our team!
