25,000 Square Feet
Jerry W. Rives Jr., AIA | Roebuck Buildings
For this design-build project, Roebuck Buildings worked with Jerry W. Rives Jr., AIA to create a 124,000-square-foot new construction for Ashland Distribution’s General Polymers Division. This facility receives bulk plastic materials, then packages and distributes plastic resin pellets to customers throughout the Southeast. Since most of these shipments arrive by rail, the design needed to incorporate railroad siding for swift, efficient delivery, which Roebuck Buildings was happy to accommodate. This sprawling complex featured a warehouse and storage area, loading bay, and office space, and the structure’s design met the ISO 9000 quality standard for customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
