July 26, 2006

July 26, 2006 - Roebuck Buildings was pleased to attend the Groundbreaking of Spartanburg Technical College Foundation's new Gaffney campus and the Grand Opening of the Freightliner Custom Chassis Training Facility. Having served as General Contractor for Freightliner's Training Facility, the first building on the new campus, we are excited to begin work on the second building, the Manufacturing and Training Facility. Within a short distance of I-85, and located minutes from the heart of Gaffney city, this campus will bring an expanded market for professional skill training to the Upstate of South Carolina.

The beginning of this new campus was made possible by years of planning, fund appropriation, and cooperation from the city and county level, to the state and Federal levels. This was a celebration to commemorate the hard work from all partners involved in making STC Gaffney campus a reality.

Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation Service and Training Facility Grand Opening

Groundbreaking began for the Freightliner Custom Chassis Training Facility October 7, 2005. Roebuck Buildings completed the McMillan, Smith & Partner's design for the training center nine months later, just in time for ground breaking on the next building on the STC - Gaffney campus. This facility helps to serve the greater mission of the STC - Gaffney campus: to aid the economic development in the Upstate of South Carolina, by supporting higher education, developing local jobs, and creating an influx of skilled workers into the area.
