Roebuck Buildings awarded contract for Metropolitan Sewer Office Addition
Donaldson Center, Greenville, SC
Roebuck Buildings Co.was recently awarded the contract for the construction of an office addition at Donaldson Center in Greenville SC. Metropolitan Sewer District is a special purpose district that operates and maintains sanitary sewer facilities in Greenville County. Metro serves approximately 58,950 customers with more than 602 miles of collector lines, 9 pump stations and 10 miles of force main. The service area extends from northern Greenville County in the Slater Marietta area to the southern portions of the county, and east and west to the Greenville County line. They also serve the Piedmont area in Anderson County. The building was designed by Langley and Associates Architects in Greer SC.

Roebuck was selected to Construct the new BMW Associate Family Heatlh Center
Greer, SC
BMW Manufacturing Co. LLC has contracted with Roebuck Buildings Co. to construct the new Associate Family Health Center near their Greer manufacturing plant. Batson Associates designed the 25,143 square foot facility’s white metal panel exterior in keeping with the high-tech character of the BMW campus, while planning a spa-like interior feel. A monumental wall of “ground face” concrete masonry will parallel the main lobby space and will extend beyond the exterior walls to mark the building entrances. The facility will house a wide range of health services including primary care, occupational health, physical therapy, optometry, a dental practice, and a Walgreen’s pharmacy. The project has been designed to achieve LEED certification from the US Green Building Council, reflecting BMW’s commitment to the health of the environment, as well as that of their associates and their families.

Roebuck Buildings was recently awarded the contract for a warehouse additions for Mitsubishi Polyester Film in Greer SC. Mitsubishi Polyester Film Group is a global leader and one of the largest suppliers of polyester (PET-polyethylene terephthalate) film, and is a supplier for a wide range of existing high-quality customized Diafoil® and Hostaphan® brand PET films as well as for customized products.

Roebuck recently awarded contract for US Corrugated Site Work and Scales
Gaffney, SC
Roebuck Buildings was recently awarded the contract for a site work, paving, and truck scales for US Corrugated in Gaffney SC. US Corrugated operates a high performance linerboard mill near Cowpens, South Carolina. The 700+ ton per day facility recycles both old corrugated containers and mixed papers to produce both corrugating medium and linerboard in a wide range of basis weights.

Roebuck Buildings recently completed the Phase I Sanctuary Addition for Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Moore, SC.  This Design-Build project consists of a new Sanctuary and classroom addition.  Phase II which will start in February will convert the old Sanctuary into new meeting and classroom.  The project was designed by Jerry Rives, AIA for Roebuck Buildings Co, Inc.

Roebuck Buildings Co., Inc-Awarded Lear Corp. Project
Greer, SC
Roebuck Buildings was recently awarded the contract to build a new facility for Lear Corporation, a leading global supplier of automotive seating. The new facility will consist of approximately 117,600 sq. ft. The exterior of the building will be insulated precast concrete on 3 walls and 2” insulated metal wall panels on the expandable wall side. Lear will move into their new facility, located in Greer, SC, in April of 2009. The $10.8 million investment is expected to generate 140 new jobs.

Roebuck Buildings Awarded Another Design/Build Project

Roebuck Buildings was awarded the contract to design and build a 40,000 sq. ft. addition to the PCI facility in Wingo Park on N. Blackstock Rd in Spartanburg. The new addition will be used for a warehousing. PCI manufactures landscape fabric for the nursery and agricultural market. Roebuck Buildings Co Inc built the original facility and the addition will be completed Fall 2008.

Roebuck Buildings Completes Construction at Bericap
RBC has completed the design and construction of a new 90,000 square foot facility for Bericap North America, a major international producer of specialized plastic closures. Bericap is the first industry to be located at the Upstate Corporate Park in Cherokee County. The building for Bericap will feature the use of automated state-of –the art injection molding equipment and processes, which will be housed in a climate controlled food grade environment.

Roebuck Buildings Awarded Lift-Tek Expansion
RBC has been awarded a contract for the design and construction of a 41,000 sf expansion to Lift-Tek in Westminster, SC. Construction has begun and is expected to be completed in June of 2008. The expansion will double the current size of the facility to 80,000 sf and add 50 new jobs to Oconee County. Lift Technologies, Inc. is a global supplier of masts, carriages, integral side shifters, and fork positioners for the mobile material handling market. The company’s market reach includes industrial truck, rough terrain, construction, and agricultural equipment applications.

Project Manager Norman Norton has managed several Honda dealership construction upgrades to meet the Honda Dealership Image Program guidelines. The Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas celebrated the openning of the new Bioskills Innovation Lab. The grand openning for the teaching facility was held October 28. This is the latest of many projects Roebuck Buildings Co., Inc. has completed at the Mary Black Memorial Hospital campus.

Members of Greater Hopewell Baptist Church and guests celebrated the opening of their new sanctuary for their first service on August 12, 2007. Roebuck Buildings was selected as the general contractor for this project with Peyton Howell serving as Project Executive and was on site for the ribbon cutting.

SEW Eurodrive Project Completions
Roebuck Buildings has recently completed two projects for SEW Eurodrive in Lyman, South Carolina. The first project was a two-story file storage addition and the second, a chiller building to house equipment for the manufacturing facility.
